Well, we didnt end up at Antietam today. We are still here in Charlottesville. As we were starting our day, the hotel was shaken by the loudest thunder we have ever heard. And it continued. Loudly! We decided that we would rather just stay safe in our hotel and skip a 3 hour drive through storms. After arranging for another night, we laid back down for "just a minute". Like storms frequently seem to do, this one lulled us into a deep sleep, once we stopped being startled by the BOOMS.
We pretty much lounged and dozed all day. We ate at a really great hamburger joint called Cook Out. The hamburgers came wrapped in tin foil and tasted like they were cooked over a camp fire. The new season of Stranger Things has started on Netflix, so we watched a few episodes. We then found Ghost Adventures on local TV. We cant miss Zak and the guys!
Regardless of the weather, our reservations in Gettysburg start tomorrow. We will head out in the morning after coffee. Stay tuned!
Practically since the day we met, Loren and I have been sharing "wonderings" and "wanderings". We have already been on countless adventures. We are here to share our random experiences and travels with friends and family- but also as a place for us to go back and remember our journeys. Enjoy!
