Day #25- You Never Even Called Me By My Name

I am not going to spend much time on today's drive as it was fairly uneventful.  I will just say that Google Maps need some help.  I had clicked on the address link provided by the hotel that tells the GPS lady where to take us.  After many twists and turns, we ended up on a college campus.  Nope.  Not our hotel.  That's when the fear struck.  If this lady sent us to some strange city, this husband of mine was going to blow his top.  I'm kidding...a little.  He grumbles and complains, but is pretty much a teddy bear.  I just did not want to listen to him grouching for another hour while we found our hotel.  Luckily, GPS lady was only 2.6 miles off.  Huge sigh of relief. 
This hotel is a little, well alot nicer, than others we have stayed at.  That's when the second round of grumbles started.  Loren was worried we were paying too much.  He forgets that I had ok-ed these reservations with him BEFORE I made them and that we got a nice discount with our Paracom tickets.  Anyway, his growling came to an end when we were walking in and saw a familiar face- John Zaffis!
For those who don't know about the Paranormal world, John Zaffis is somewhat of an icon.  He is the nephew of Ed and Lorraine Warren.  They were the leaders in paranormal research back in the 60s.  John Zaffis learned from them and has thousands of exorcisms, investigations, and experiences under his belt.  I always have my phone with me, but of course, this time I didn't.  Loren decided to mill around near Mr. Zaffis while I ran upstairs to grab my phone.  When I got back down, they were in the middle of a conversation.  He was the nicest guy.  He asked us which shows we don't like and why.  We kept apologizing for bothering him.  He told us that it is when people stop talking to him that he would worry.  Loren asked for a picture and Mr. Zaffis happily agreed. 
The funny part about all this is the fact that Loren can not get it through his head that this man's last name is ZAFFIS.  Just like Pop's calls Judy's family the "Zigler's" instead of the "Sigler's", Loren always calls him John CHAFFIS.  I asked him to please tell me he didn't call him Mr. Chaffis, and he was worried that he may have.  Luckily, Mr. Zaffis is an older man, so hopefully he didn't hear the incorrect pronunciation!  Haha.
