Actually cool breezes blowing, but that's not the song!!
Ya, ya, ya...I have gotten behind on my blogs. But around here- it is just eat, sleep, chat, beach, repeat. Since we returned from the Queen Mary, we have just been in chill mode. We have been taking advantage of the beach being so close by taking beach walks several times a day. Our Fitbits are very happy with us!
We have explored the area and had some really amazing food. Loren had a lobster and crab mac-n-cheese last night. Today we tried Boba Tea. Well really, it was a Boba smoothie. The smoothie part was banana and delicious. The Boba bubbles were NOT delicious. The drinks came with wide straws and with every slurp- up came a Boba bubble. I spit most of them out because the texture was so nasty, but I decided to suck it up (literally) and try to eat one. I felt like I had a worm in my mouth. It was chewy, yet never quite chewy enough for me to swallow. Boba bubbles are SUPPOSED to be made from tapioca, which Loren loves, but I think they ran out today and used worms instead.
Today's beach experiences include needing the restroom but refusing to use it after seeing a trail of an odd substance leading into a stall and then a pair of someone's pants on the floor at the end of the trail inside the bathroom. I didn't feel like being on an episode of Forensic Files today!
On our nightwalk, we saw two guys setting up their keyboard and guitar on a dune facing the water and the sunset. I asked Loren if he thought they were making a home done music video or something. We were walking, so we could not really hear them, but they were just singing away!
We had burgers for dinner that were as big as our face. We may be as big as a house when we get home with all of this good eatin'!!. Tomorrow is a new day of food and beaches, so stay tuned.
