Day #6- Viva Las Vegas!

8This blog is being written a day late.  Most people come to Vegas to gamble and party.  We came to sleep!  The first days of our adventure have been great- but living like nomads can be tiring.  We arrived in Vegas around noon, which was too early for check in.  However, $20 later and we are checked into a very upgraded, super swanky, upscale room at the new SLS hotel.  I have never seen such luxury...but don't touch said luxury...the mini bar has motion sensors.  We laid down on the bed and sunk into clouds.  Fast forward a few hours and we are awake and ready to roam.  First thing I notice is everyone getting on the elevator smells like they have been sprayed a skunk.  Same with the air when we walked out into the lights here on the very far end of the strip.  We pass a guy sitting on a bench rolling a doobie.  Hmm...he's pretty brave.  I decided to google marijuana laws in Vegas only to find out it had become legal for sale and recreational use at midnite the night before.  Ah...it is all clear to me now.  Well, not exactly clear, as the city seems to be engulfed in a skunk scented cloud. We explored our hotel and ran into ex NBA star and ex Kardashian husband, Lamar Odom.  I wanted a pic, but Loren wouldn't let me.  We got lost in the halls and somehow ended up at the rooftop pool of the W Hotel.  Sign said guests only and that the place was "toptional".  Guess we stumbled into one of Vegas's European pools.  Never a dull moment here!  We played a little Roulette, had a meal at an Asian place, and called it an early night back to our cloud bed.  Tomorrow is a new day so stay tuned!
